Relationship between Confidence and Physical Fitness and Self- Esteem

What is Self-Esteem?
Self-Esteem means the way you look at yourself.  Self-esteem encompasses beliefs about oneself as well as emotional states, such as triumph, despair, pride, and shame. As in simple words what you think about yourself that how much push-ups you will able to do in 3sets, how fast you can run, how much good-looking you are, how adorably you talk to someone, how much marks you can score in your exams, and etc and etc.

Most of us have experienced low self-esteem at one point or another in our lives.  Signs of low self-esteem include negative self-talk (the way you talk to yourself in your mind), comparing yourself to others, and focusing on the negatives or mistakes in your life and ignoring the positives and accomplishments.

Even if you have a relatively high self-esteem, you will be well-served by practicing self-esteem enhancing strategies.  Here is a list of several strategies you can use on a regular basis.  We will first define each of them and then focus on exercise as a strategy.

How you can Improve your Self-Esteem ?

1) Positive Self-Talk:

The way we think about ourself very strongly influences our Self- Esteem, first whenever any negative thought comes to your mind STOP there and say NO, it's not like that, start thinking positive about that. For example If you do self study 8hours a day but one day u only do study for 3hours and then after you just have done timepassed in your bed sleeping, phone, TV, and talking to other people. So don't get upset, don't start thinking that you are a looser or something like that, just think in a positive manner that H" Unless I get time to get relax and to feel fresh (थोड़ा रिलैक्स तो लगा), don't worry now tommorow I will study with a fresh mood".

2)Exercise:

Research has shown time and again that exercise can significantly increase our self-esteem.  There are many mechanisms by which exercise increases our evaluations of our self.  First, in the short-term, exercise enhances our mood and puts our mind in a more positive state.  Second, in the long-term, exercise makes us feel good about our physical self – our abilities and physique.  Last, and in both the short and long-term, exercise provides us with a sense of accomplishment that boosts our confidence.

3)Exercise with a friend:

Engage a positive friend in your exercise pursuits and you will have a double-whammy in self-esteem boosting power. You can still see one another’s workouts and encourage each other. It really helps both you and your friend. When you loose hope then by watching your friend you will get inspired again and vice-versa too.

4) Track your Progress:

Always keep and write the record that how you have done exercise per day. And also maintain a record that how much calories you burn per day, and what exercise you have done.

5) Celebrate your Accomplishments:

After achieving your goal always remember to celebrate, this will help you everyday to put more and more effort and also help you not to lose interest. Decide in advance how you will celebrate your accomplishment, and then go for it!

Keep Moving Forward!

Best Of luck!
