What is Aatmanirbhar Bharat plan or Make in India program?

Aatmanirbhar Bharat or Make in India is a plan under which Bharat wants to become self reliant in every sector of our economy. Does it means to boycott foreign products? No it doesn't mean that at all. But in case of China it is different, because in China's economy India is pumping $53 billion USD every year, China have a trade surplus of $53 billion USD and even then also they always try to create land border disputes with India, always behave as a negative partner for India at world platform like UN. So China is a different thing at all, So we are discussing without respect to China.

Now let's come to the topic again, first of all we should know in which sectors we are dependent on other countries, and how to get rid of that. LET's Start :

1) Pharmaceutical :

Indian Pharmaceuticals comes under the top Pharmaceuticals in the World. Our Medicines are not costly, We have the potential to be the best in the world. But the problem is about API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients). API are the ingredients from which medicines are being prepared, we can also say the API are the raw materials of medicines and we import almost 70% of the API from foreign countries and the 50% alone comes from China. But API production is very Anti environment. But we should try to make machinary for the production of API of less Anti environment.

2) Smartphones

As we all know Chinese phone companies flooded our smartphone market, due to which Indian smartphone manufacturers should shut down their companies. Chinese smartphone manufacturers like OPPO, Vivo, Xiomi, Realme, One Plus, Huawei, and Pocco, etc. INDIAN Manufacturers like Micromax, Lava, Karbonn should gave up on their companies. Micromax was a leading brand all over the World.

3) Electronics:

It is not only about Smartphones. It's about every It's about the every electronic item which we use in our daily life. For example like laptop,, tV, external hard disk, earphone, headphone, bluetooth speakers, speakers, data cable, air conditioner, water purifier, bathroom geysers and much more. Actually all of them are not chinese companies, but all of them are manufactured from China. Like Sony the company of Japan are mainly manufactured in China and then gets imported India. There are many companies do so from other countries but they manufacture from China. Companies like Samsung, Sony, TCL, Lenovo, etc etc. Bear it in your mind Lenovo is a Chinese company.

But nowadays we came some far from that like now Samsung has its largest manufacturing unit in Bharat (India). Now smartphone companies like xiaomi, redmi, realme, oneplus, samsung has its units in India and they manufactur from India. But the biggest problem is they are only assembling products in India like a smartphone the components like display glass, touch, speakers, other components of phone in other countries and just assemble it into a phone in India.

4) Leather and Shoe Sector:

There are not much more things to say about this sector. The only thing we need to know that the production of leather and shoes in our country is much less to cope with our demand, that's why we need to import much leather from other countries, india has very higher potential in the sectors can produce letters and can become self-reliant in this Sector too. Like we import Shoes from other countries shoes of Adidas, Puma, Nike and etc.

Does India should boycott other countries product?

“The idea behind self-reliance or Aatmanirbharta is not to turn the country inwards, or into an isolationist country, but to the contrary, it is to ensure that India can emerge as the global nerve centre of the complex modern multinational supply chains," Shringla said.

While India had made a name for itself in IT and IT enabled services as well as pharmaceuticals, the new measures outlined with the stimulus package will “open a large part of the previously restricted economic sectors to participation of private sector," he said.

For example, “the fundamental reforms in agriculture will empower our farmers, enable their integration in global agri-product value chains and significantly contribute to our national vision of doubling income of farmers by 2022," he said.

The point is at present situation we should boycott other foreign goods and prefer our Swadeshi Brands. Here are some Indian Brands of different sectors:

Tata Tea in place of Red Label Tea

Tata Coffee in place of Nescafe and BRU Coffee

Voltas, Havells, Bajaj, Lloyd in place of LG, Samsung, Haier

Biotique cosmetics in place of L'oreal, Oriflame etc.

Fogg Scents, Park Avenue, Wild Stone deodorant in place of different foreign deodrants.

SKY BAGS, WILDCRAFT bags inplace of American Tourister bags.

Make My Trip, GoiBiBo, OYO rooms in place of Trivago.
